Services for Wilbur “Bud” P. Fullenkamp, 86, Redkey, are 11 a.m. Saturday at MJS Mortuaries Redkey Chapel with the Rev. Dave Newton officiating. He died Thursday at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Fort Recovery and was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Jean Fullenkamp.
A veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he served as a U.S. Corporal in the Korean War and rebuilt roads in Germany and France.
He was owner and operator of Fullenkamp Excavating in Redkey and retired from Local 103 Operating Engineers Union in Fort Wayne.
Memberships include Redkey American Legion Post No. 401 and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dunkirk.
Surviving are four daughters, Deborah Burkett (husband: Brad), Berne, Brenda Adkins (husband: Minnis), Loretta Fullenkamp and Rena Fullenkamp, all of Redkey; a son, Charles “Chuck” Fullenkamp (wife: Sharon), Redkey; a brother, Eugene Fullenkamp (wife: Marilyn), Decatur; a sister, Lou Moorman (husband: Les), Cape Coral, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. at the mortuary.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey with military graveside services conducted by Randolph County Veterans and Ridgeville American Legion Post.
