Norma R. Springer, 91, a former Dunkirk resident, died Wednesday at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Born in Pennville to Albert and Gladys (Rigby) Lawhorn, she attended Poling High School in Jay County.
Preceding her in death in 1978 was her first husband Bernard Houtz and in 1982 was her second husband Kenneth Springer.
An employee of Indiana Glass in Dunkirk for 20 years, she had also worked at Kerr Glass in Dunkirk for 20 years.
She was a lifetime member of Dunkirk Church of the Nazarene and a member of Local 501.
Surviving are a son, William M. Houtz (wife: Carol), Terre Haute; a brother, Lloyd Lawhorn (wife: Lulla Belle), Pennville; two nieces; two nephews; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at MJS Mortuaries Dunkirk Chapel, followed by 2 p.m. services with Pastor Rob Faris officiating.
Burial will be in the Pennville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
