Registration for the 2014-2015 school year at Fort Recovery preschool will be held at 7 p.m. on April 29, in the Auditeria at Fort Recovery Elementary/Middle School.
The preschool is operated under the State of Ohio licensing rules and uses a curriculum that follows the Early Learning and Development Standards.   
A copy of the child’s birth certificate, shot record and social security card will be needed. Children do not need to attend. If unable to attend, call (419) 375-4131.

Open house
Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland, will host an open house on Monday from  5:30 to 7 p.m.
There will be entertainment provided by Arts Place faculty, music students and ensembles, music lessons to observe, visual arts demonstrations, facility tours and refreshments.
The Regional Student Art Exhibit will also be on display in the Hugh N. Ronald Gallery.

 The Jay County High School third cycle honor roll that ran in Thursday’s  edition of The Commercial Review was missing a name.
Brandon Wentz,  a junior, was also named to the  honor roll.

Minnetrista events  
Expressions in Glass, the second international biennial exhibit of contemporary glass, will begin Saturday at Minnetrista in Muncie and continue through Aug. 10.
The exhibit is sponsored by Ball State University’s Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass and Ball State’s David Owsley Museum of Art.
The Twenty-Fourth Minnetrista Annual Juried Art Show and Sale continues through May 4.
The show features professional and avocational artists throughout Indiana displaying artwork of all mediums.

Limberlost State Historic Site will present the program Creatures of the Night on April 25.
Participants are asked to meet at the Loblolly Pavilion in the Loblolly Marsh Nature Preserve at 8:30 p.m.
There will be a  hike and other activities.
