Quilt donations

  • Family LifeCare in Berne is having a Tree of Hope service at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Fellowship Hall of Cross Community Church, 315 W. Main St., Berne. 
  • Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 218 E. High St. in Portland, will have a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. 
  • Two area churches will be celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend. 
  • Revival services will be held this weekend at Evangelical Methodist Church with John Myers as the evangelist and the Christianaires as song evangelists. 
  • Several area churches will be showing free movies Friday. 
  • Hudson Bodikwa of South Africa will be the guest speaker at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene. 
  • A presentation about the current situation in Israel is scheduled in Berne. 
  • New Covenant Fellowship Church will have a homecoming Sunday in celebration of its 30-year anniversary. 
  • Oasis Ministries at Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene will have “Meditation in the Park” at 5 p.m. Sunday at Fort Site Park. 
  • Hopewell of Life Ministries will host a free movie Friday. 
  • A kids movie night will be held Friday at Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene Family Center. 
  • Film tells hero's tale
    A documentary film about an Albany man who rescued Jewish refugees and others during World War II will be shown in his hometown. 
  • Revival services will be held Friday through Sunday at Gilead Church with the Rev. John Myers speaking. 
  • Noble Congregational Christian Church will host an ice cream social Sept. 12.
